Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Is splinter hemorrhage in Dog's nails doesn't effect? Is this permanent or temporary black colour spot/line ?Few days back, Dog did nail biting and blood occurrence was there, then as my pet Dog licked effected nail, blood was stopped.Should I apply Intas Exoheal Aerosol Spray on Splinter hemorrhage ? little bit splinter hemorrhage is there on the very small nail, not much, Or this black spot on nail will disappear itself?

It's difficult to say - sometimes there can be some pigment on a nail that isn't too concerning, but it sounds like this nail might be torn or broken. If the nail appears broken it may not need any treatment - I am not familiar with Exoheal spray so I don't know if it would hurt or not. If the nail starts bleeding again or if your dog is licking or bothering it then I'd recommend having your vet examine the nail to see if further treatment is needed.
