my dog takes metoclopramide 10 mg 2x per day. Today the Dr. added prednisone 20 mg tab 3/4 for one x. Then 1/2 for the next remaining 3 tabs. This was done as the dog has difficulty walking due to inflammation of her spin. O.K to this use both meds?

Hello, thank you for your question about Heather.
Yes, these two medications are safe to use together. Metoclopramide is a medication that is used to promote motility of the GI tract and decrease acid reflux. Prednisone is a steroid medication that has anti-inflammatory properties among others.
Prednisone can potentially cause many side effects, such as stomach upset. I would recommend monitoring Heather closely for any symptoms such as i appearance, vomiting, or dark stools. If any of these are seen please contact your veterinarian.
Hope this helps and that Heather feels better!
