Daylight saving: When to give my dog medication after time change?

It is best to give the next dose at his regularly scheduled time unless the dose you just gave was very close to it. 8-10 hours apart should be fine to get him back on his regular medical schedule. If he has any issues, or if you are concerned about the meds you are giving, it is best to speak with his treating veterinarian for more information.

If they told you to give it the next day when you picked him up then they likely meant this morning. Twice a day would be about 12 hours apart. So if you dose at 8 am then 8 pm for the night dose (or 12 hrs apart of your choosing). But, the safest thing to do is to call your vet for clarification as they prescribed the medication. It is normally fine to adjust the dosing schedule by two hours or so as needed. However, I legally cannot reccomend a change in medication, without having established a client-doctor relationship with you. I will have to refer you to your vet to answer this question.
