Is there a chance that fine needle aspirate can seed or spread cancerous cells? My dog was poked 5 times with the needle on the same subcutaneous lump on the leg’s hock region and got 2 samples out of it. She has a slight swelling next to the lump since the aspiration, possibly from internal bleeding from the aspiration, I’m worried of possible spreading of cancerous cells this way as the result of the aspiration showed suspicious cells.
