My dog has loose stools with blood. When should I worry and see a vet?

Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Female | spayed | 1 year and 3 months old | 50 lbs

My dog has been having loose stools and this morning she had blood in them. Should i take her to the vet or wait it out?

Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I do not recommend waiting for the signs to resolve, as they can become worse if left untreated. Kali may have a viral infection, intestinal parasites, or even a bacterial infection. These conditions can be diagnosed and treated by a veterinarian. I recommend bringing a stool sample from Kali in a disposable container to your appointment to make the diagnostic process quicker - your vet will be able to check this stool sample for intestinal parasites. I hope this helps and that Kali starts feeling better soon!
