Dog bit on lip, small hole. Should I use Neosporin or see a vet?

It's always best to have a vet examine it and provide treatment, so if you can have him seen in the next 24 hours, that would be great, but may not be necessary. Infection is the biggest concern with these wounds; so after flushing, it's best to apply the Neosporin cream to the wound. In order to keep the wound clean, it's best to flush the wound 1-2 times a day and gently wipe away any big crusts - make sure not to scrub the wound, because this can make it worse. Apply the antibacterial cream after each flushing. If the wound starts to swell or have pus oozing from the wound, then I'd recommend he goes to the vet for treatment. Pain medications meant for humans can be very dangerous (and even deadly) for dogs, so I do not recommend giving any to your pup without consulting with your vet.

This should heal without problem, and I would keep an eye on it for signs of infection. I would be sure the Area is cleaned will with a mild soap or hibiclens soap (available at the drug store) and apply an antibiotic ointment such as neosporin several times a day. If his hair on his chin is sticking to the wound you may need to trim around it to prevent this. If the wound increase in size/swelling or develops a discharge then you should see a vet for examination. If during the fight either dog but the other then he should see a vet for an exam and avrabies booster if he isn't up to date on his vaccine. It would also be wise to discuss his new behavior issue (aggression) with his vet.

Since that is just a tiny cut I would just disinfect it and otherwise leave it alone and let it scab over. It should heal without complications. It would be ideal to put neosporin on it, however, dogs tend to lick this medication and ingestion of it could cause side effects. You could clean the area with skin sensitive baby wipes. If the area does not resolve within 3-5 days, then she may need to have oral antibiotics. Occasionally, this can occur secondary to allergies.
