My dog is limping and vomiting white foam. Should I see a vet?

The two may or may not be related. It is hard to say. However if they are related then he will likely have a fever. You can check his rectal temperature and it should be between 100-102.5 degrees Fahrenheit. If it is high then I would suspect an infectious disease (tick borne disease), congenital bone disorder (femoral head necrosis) or septic arthritis could be causing Ollie's symptoms. Having some baseline bloodwork and a complete physical exam is a good place to start in trying to narrow down the possible causes of his ailment. If he is otherwise stable and eating, drinking normal, and able to go urinate and defecate normally, then he may be able to wait until morning to be seen by a vet. However, if he has pale gums, is lame to the point of being non-responsive, or starts vomiting excessively, then he needs to go to an ER vet right away. Best case scenario is that he has a muscle sprain and also had an upset stomach from something he ate. These would be easily treatable through the vet. You can try to offer him a bland diet of boiled plain chicken and rice or cottage cheese to help settle his stomach tonight. Also keep him rested and don't allow him to jump or run to prevent any further injury to his back leg. I hope things work out well for you both. Best wishes and take care.

Hello Dogs don't often get growing pains, but since Oakley is limping and also vomiting, I would recommend that you have her checked. Puppies can limp from injury but best to have her checked, and they can also find out why she's vomiting. I would recommend feeding her a diet of boiled chicken and rice this evening to help settle her stomach. Best wishes to you and Oakley.

Or, the [limping](https://www.petcoach.co/dog/condition/lameness-1/) and vomiting may be unrelated problems. If she has vomited more than 7 times in the last half hour, this is a sign that something is very wrong - I would recommend having her examined by a vet immediately to diagnose the problem and get her started on appropriate treatment.

Loss of appetite and vomiting can be observed with many conditions such as gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, kidney disease, pancreatitis, among many other possibilities. Lameness can be due to discomfort possibly due to arthritis or something else. This may be related or perhaps may be unrelated and another issue. Lyme disease is a possibility though this is not very common. I recommend that you have Jakey evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Oh no! It sounds like Lela is painful on her right hind leg and needs to be evaluated for an injury or wound. The vomiting and diarrhea could be related to what is going on with her leg or could be caused by something else. I would recommend you take her in to your vet to be evaluated. She may need anti-inflammatories or pain medication for her leg as well as anti-nausea medication and diarrhea medication for her intestinal tract. With vomiting and diarrhea I also get very concerned about dehydration, so she may need some fluid treatment as well to get her feeling better. Good luck! Lameness can be a sign of a few things that range from a muscle sprain to even a fracture. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian so that this can be further assessed which will likely include radiographs. Rex needs to see his vet in order to determine what is causing him to limp. He could have torn a ligament or strained a muscle, or worse, he could have fractured a bone, which can be quite serious in puppies, and needs proper attention in order to heal so that there is not long-term damage. If the vomiting has continued, that is a concern for gastrointestinal problems - parasites, a blockage, bacterial or viral gastroenteritis, etc. The raspy breathing could be due to an upper respiratory infection due to a virus or bacteria as well. The symptoms you describe are not easily connectable, and he needs to be seen by a vet and examined in order to figure out what is causing all of these problems.
