What does it mean if my dog's licking his bloody, yellowish penis?

Causes of licking the prepuce/penis area could be a urinary tract infection, crystals in the urine, stones in the urinary tract, or trauma to the area. If you notice him straining to urinate/unable to produce urine, this is a medical emergency and he should be seen by a vet immediately. He could have an infection and need an antibiotic. Keep the area clean, dry, and prevent him from licking the area until you can take him to the vet. If the bleeding seems excessive or he becomes lethargic than he should be seen immediately to rule out a clotting problem. .

Green discharge is an normal occurrence in unneutered dogs, but inflammation on the tip of the penis is not. it could be an infection, putting a cream locally is not likely to help, you will need to take him to the vet as he may need an antibiotic course or anti inflammatories.

Poor Brownie! Yes this looks inflammed and painful. I recommend using a cone to stop the excess licking of the area and taking him in for an exam of his penis and a urinalysis. He may have a urinary or prostate infection, or an infection in the sheath or on the penis. Blood on the penis at his age is most likely due to a urinary infection or trauma, if the blood and licking continues you will need to take him to the vet as he will need an antibiotic course and possibly some anti inflammatories.

Without pictures it is difficult to say what this is for sure. This could be smegma, which is the normal yellow discharge that is seen coming from a male dog's prepuce, which is a natural lubricant for the penis inside the prepuce. If it is not liquid at the prepuce you are seeing and a pustule, this could be infectious. If you could provide photos and post again it may help determine what this is exactly. Otherwise, a veterinarian should take a look at this so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps!
