My dog has a leg cut. Sitter wants to use super glue. What to do?

Unfortunately, you cannot use glue for this deep of a wound. Buddy needs veterinary care where they clean up the wound and staple or suture it closed. He then needs antibiotics and pain medication. It does though sounds concerning enough that warrants an evaluation by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to look at the wound up close to determine if stitches are needed. Also, antibiotics and pain control medications can be prescribed at the time as these wounds tend to be painful. The skin is quite far apart, it will take quite a long time to heal and there is risk of infection. I recommend to take him at the vet to have I'm checked, have the hair trimmed, the area throughly cleaned l to have a proper look at the wounds and decide the next step. Possibly Rufus will need to have the wound stitched up to approach the skin margin and support a good healing process. Please post again on the forum if you would like to discuss it further. I would not recommend using superglue on a laceration. Although tissue glue is similar and sometimes used to close small wounds it would not be ideal for a high pressure/high motion area like the paw. If it is not bleeding and seems superficial it might heal without specific treatment: watch for redness, swelling or discharge as symptoms of infection. If it is bleeding or seems to be deep you should have your vet take a look.

It's difficult to tell for sure from the picture, but it looks like that's still pretty healthy tissue at his declaw site. I'm glad to see a good blood supply, and that looks like his body is trying to close the site with granulation tissue. I'd absolutely recommend continuing to try to reach your vet and have that rechecked ASAP, as it will likely be best to re-sedate Riley and place new sutures to close that wound. The most important things in the meantime are to keep that area clean, and keep Riley from causing further trauma. If Riley will let you, you can GENTLY wipe or rinse the area clean with lukewarm soapy water - use a mild dish soap such as Dawn. You should have a cone or recovery collar from your vet. Put that securely on Riley - many styles include a loop to weave his collar through so it stays on. If you don't have one (or if Riley destroyed his previous one) you can purchase them over the counter at many pet stores, such as PetCo. Another option if you don't have a cone is to put a clean sock on Riley's front feet and tape the top so they stay in place. Ouch - poor pup! This wound looks quite deep, so yes - I would definitely recommend a vet visit. This may need stitches, depending on how long ago it happened, and your pup will certainly need antibiotics to prevent it from becoming infected while it heals.

It sounds like her cut may have become infected and is causing more problems. Try to keep the wound as clean as possible for now and plan on taking her to the vet as soon as you can.
