My new puppy looks like a Lab. Is she a mix breed or a Goldador?

Unfortunately we cannot tell if a pet is 100% anything without a DNA test. Also a pet this young is impossible to tell what breed it is. I would recommend having the pet grow up a bit and then have him tested when he is about 4-6 months of age. You can go to any vet of your choosing, although it may require you to drive a bit to get to if there isn't one that isn't affiliated with the breeder in your area. It sounds a bit ridiculous that your vet isn't willing to do a simple DNA test though, so I would look into getting another vet if this is the case. You need an unbiased opinion here and someone willing to do tests that you are requesting. I hope that you get things sorted out, and hopefully you have gotten what you have paid for. Bruno is a very cute pup! Unfortunately, with a puppy that is a mix of two different breeds, it's quite unpredictable what the puppy may grow up to look like. Being able to predict the adult appearance of the pup is one of the main advantages of choosing a purebred puppy - so with a mix, I'm afraid you'll have to just wait and see! He may look like his dad, his mom, or some mixture of both. Just like human children, you never know until they're grown up. Regardless, he's a very handsome guy. I think he will be a great looking dog, no matter which parent he takes after :)

I think this may be a repetition of a previous question.. He looks similar to a shepherd dog, but it is difficult to determine that as he is very young. In 5-6 months would be easier to determine the breed. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Benelly looks like a golden retriever. I don't know what to say about the health card, they aren't official. The only way to know for sure is to have his AKC/CCK or other pure bred papers. Otherwise we can only go on what he looks like! I hope this helps!

I think he certainly could have some hound in him. I also think his face and ears look a little like a Great Dane, although he's not that large. I definitely can see the German Sheoherd. There are some commercially available DNA tests that can be fun and might give some other ideas although their accuracy is debatable. I think Wisdom panel is best http://www.wisdompanel.com
