My puppy's itching is worse after treatment. When should I see the vet?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Cavalier King Charles Spaniel | Female | 2 months and 9 days old

My puppy started on her first advocate on Wednesday. She hasn't stopped itching yet and if anything it seems worse. It's all over her body now. How long do I wait before going back to the vet? Thanks

If you are noticing the itching is getting worse, I recommend to have her examined again. It's possible the medication is not working, it's possible she is having an allergic reaction, or it's possible she is itching due to something else. Your vet will have a better idea. I hope this helps.
