My dog is in heat and peeing inside a lot. Should I be worried?

It does sound like a problem. She may have a urinary tract infection but it could also be a more serious problem especially if she is also drinking a lot of water. I suggest you get her to your vet for an exam.

But if Chica is having small, frequent urinations with straining she may have a urinary tract infection unrelated to being in heat. Hi there. It's unusual for a female puppy to pee so many different times on each potty break, so I would definitely be concerned that she may have a UTI. An inverted vulva often predisposes dogs to this problem, unfortunately. If you can, I would recommend taking Zoe to an emergency clinic this evening or tomorrow, since UTIs are very uncomfortable. The veterinarian there can do a urinalysis to check for evidence of an infection, and will prescribe antibiotics to treat it if any problems are found.
