Can ice cubes crack my dog's teeth or enamel on a hot day?

Pet's info: Dog | Cavalier King Charles Spaniel | Male | neutered | 1 year and 4 months old

I have been told giving ice cubes to my dog on a hot day is fine but, could it crack there teeth or if not how about there enamel

Yes, you are correct that ice cubes can crack teeth, so instead of giving Cooper big chunks of ice, you can break it up into smaller pieces that will make it less likely for him to crack a tooth on :-)
