My 6-month husky puppy: adult, puppy, or all life stages food?

Since she is 16 weeks old then you would follow the feeding guideline for 16-24 weeks and 31 pounds so she would get 3 1/2 - 3 3/4 cups per day. You can divide that total amount into 2 or 3 feedings per day. This is just a guideline and may need to be adjusted depending on her body score condition.

Hi and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Annika needs around 800-1000 calories a day for her age, sex, and weight. Nutrisource grain free has around 430 calories per cup. Feeding her one cup a day sounds about right. I hope this helps!

Royal canin is a great food! If you have some of the old food left I would mix The old food with the new food for about 10 days. You will want to start out with mostly old food and small amount of new food for the first few days and then gradually add more new food. By day 5-6, you should be at 50:50 of old:new dog food. After that you will slowly decrease the amount of old food until you are just giving the new food. For his size, he should get about 3 cups of the new food when you are switched completely over. You may need to adjust this as he continues to grow. I hope this helps!

At 13 months old, Magnus needs an adult food not a puppy food. The person who told you that puppy food has more protein is correct; it also has more calories and calcium which are needed to support a growing puppy. Once a dog reaches 12 months of age, then they do not need those extras and an adult food should be fed. I recommend the adult food for him. I hope this helps!

Great question! Luna should be fed three times a day, morning, afternoon, and evening. Take the daily allotment recommended on her food bag, and divide it into three equal portions. As a half-Mastiff, Ruby is likely going to be a pretty large dog, so I do recommend feeding her a large breed puppy food for the first year of life. Every food is formulated differently with respect to the density of calories in kibble. For this reason, follow the chart on the bag of food to match Ruby's age and weight, as this will provide the amount of food that she should have in a given day. You can then divide that amount into 3 meals as you are currently doing. I typically recommend feeding Science Diet, Purina ProPlan or Royal Canin diets, as these are high quality foods formulated by veterinary nutritionists and backed with clinical trials. If you choose to change Ruby's diet (now or at any point in her life), be sure to do so gradually by mixing her old and new foods together over 5-7 days.
