My 9-month Husky isn't eating. Should I switch her to adult food?

I have a 9 month old Siberian Husky she not eating how she usually does like 2 bowls a day she usually finish them but now she doesn’t eat one and she eats one but doesn’t finish it all , should i change her food to adult ? Because she eats my other dogs food for medium dog

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It would be best to try to switch her food to another puppy brand. However, it is important to continue her on puppy food for at least another 2-3 months. This will let her grow appropriately as needed. You may try highly palatable kibble blends like the shredded blend diets from Purina Pro Plan or possibly canned food. Good luck and have a great day!

    Congratulations on your new puppy, Luna! I recommend feeding her food according to the instructions which are typically found on the back of the bag. Some foods will base the amount of food to feed on the puppy's current weight, while others will base it on the adult weight, so you should read that portion carefully. You can leave the food that she doesn't finish for Luna throughout the day for her to nibble on. It is okay for her to eat a little less sometimes, but she should be getting the appropriate amount of calories. As Luna grows, she will start to be able to eat two or three meals a day, usually by the time she is 4-6 months old.

I recommend that you have Tundra evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to check for these possibilities and others depending on the findings on exam. Hi, try not to switch and change Nova's food too often as she may get a stomach upset. Also if she's getting lots of treats for training she may be full and not want to eat her main puppy food. Not eating can be a sign of illness, but given this is the first time he's done it, I wouldn't get too worried just yet. Keep an eye on him for now, and if he doesn't eat breakfast in the morning, then I would be concerned and have him seen by a vet. I hope this helps!

3 1/2 cups in three servings means a little bit more than one cup on each meal (3 times a day), if you have a puppy you definitely must feed him puppy food, not adult food, you should only switch to adult food after the age of 1 year.

Should my 13-month Husky eat adult or puppy Taste of the Wild food?
At 13 months old, Magnus needs an adult food not a puppy food. The person who told you that puppy food has more protein is correct; it also has more calories and calcium which are needed to support a growing puppy. Once a dog reaches 12 months of age, then they do not need those extras and an adult food should be fed. I recommend the adult food for him. I hope this helps!
