Can I use human chloramphenicol eye ointment for my dog's ulcer?

Pet's info: Dog | Staffordshire Bull Terrier | Female | spayed | 7 years old | 46.3 lbs

Hi. My dog has an eye ulcer and the vet has given her chloramphenicol 1.0% w/w eye ointment. But this is for human conjunctivitis. and doesn't mention ulcers It is correct. Thank you

Yes it is correct and is a standard type of treatment for superficial corneal ulcers. Apply it 3-4 times daily and store it in the fridge.
A buster collar would be helpful to avoid any scratching/rubbing.
