yes, any possible head/neck injury is always concerning and non weight bearing lameness combined with the poor balance causing him to fall over are all red flags for a possible serious fracture. Poor Ryleigh! If all of these symptoms are new since he was accidently hit by the door, then I would strongly recommend to have a vet look at him. They can take x-rays if needed to ensure there isn't any bones broken. With him being older, I would also worry about arthritis. Your vet will be able to determine what meds would help him feel better. If you don't already, I would also put him on some joint supplements. I really liked dasuquin, flexadin with UC-II, and even duralactin. I hope this helps and he starts to feel better really soon!

I would be very concerned about neurologic disease. A possible fracture that is healing and pressing on the Spinal cord or traumatic disc compression. With neurologic disease it can vary clinical signs and severity. I would recommend strict cage rest at least 4 months. With him being active he could be injurying himself worse.
