My dog in heat had an accidental tie. What's the pregnancy chance?

It all depends on whether the male dog ejaculated or not. You can run a pregnancy test and/or an ultrasound at 28 days or have an X-ray done at day 50. Write down the date when they mated. Dogs are pregnant for 60-63 days. I hope this helps!

They only stand for breeding a few days each cycle. For them to actually mate then you do have a 50% chance that the pregnancy took and will be successful. There are no safe medications you can use to terminate from here besides having her spayed which will prevent all future pregnancies Your vet can do an ultrasound around day 18-20 as fetal heart beats will be evident to confirm a pregnancy for you.

There is always a possibility if the two were tied and both are not fixed. If you suspect your dog may be pregnant, bringing her into the vet to confirm the pregnancy is best. Having your dog spayed is also a good idea if you don't wish to have puppies.

It is possible that Nancy may be pregnant, even after tying with a male dog for a mere 3 minutes. Generally, I recommend waiting until a dog is close to two years old for intentional breeding since both the dog's body and behavior are more mature at that point. That said, many dogs can become pregnant and deliver healthy pups during their first heat cycle. The potential risks involve more difficulty during delivery (possibly requiring a c-section) and more difficulty caring for the pups once born. Options for Nancy at this point include having her spayed now to terminate a possible pregnancy and prevent future pregnancies, waiting until about 42-45 days after the dogs tied to take her to the vet for x-rays (the pups' skeletons would be visible on x-ray at this point), or simply taking a "wait and see" approach. Dogs are typically pregnant for 62-63 days, so you would be able to check the calendar to have a sense for if/when pups may be born. I hope this helps and that all goes well!

If you don’t plan to breed her in the future then I would recommend spaying her as soon as possible. There are medications that can be given to abort the feti, but this can be very hard on the mama dog, and it is not 100% reliable. This is usually given under hospitalization observation. Unless there is a very large difference in size between your male dog and your female dog with the female being very small, there should be no problem if she gets pregnant. However, if you do not want puppies nor want to breed her later on I suggest you discuss spaying with your vet. There are so many puppies out there needing a new home, there is not point in adding to that. Being pregnant now will basically cut short her puppy time as well.
