What is this red, blister-like bubble on my dog's gum that bled?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 10 years and 6 months old | 25 lbs

My dog has a small, red, blister like bubble right underneath his very last molar. The bubble in on the gum on his bottom jaw, in the very corner where his jaw bone meets the skull. He is not actively bleeding, however when I went to touch the bubble with a wet cloth, some blood did escape from part of the bubble. The bubble did not get smaller, or "pop". What could this be?

It sounds like Fluffy could have a cyst. I would have him seen by a vet for this. If it is a cyst, it will need to be drained sterilely, and the vet may need to remove it surgically to prevent it from recurring. I would have him seen by a vet in the next few days for this.
