What's this blood-filled cyst on my dog's leg? Is it serious?

It may be bleeding because he's been picking at it. Apply gentle pressure to stop the bleeding, then put a bandage on it to protect it. This can be one of two things: 1) a small abscess that has ruptured. 2) a small tumor that did not have enough room to grow and therefore started to ulcerate and finally ruptured. Since it is on a leg and deep, you should have your veterinarian have a look at it, to see whether any vital structures are involved and whether it is a tumor that needs to be removed.

Hi there! Looking at the picture, she should be fine to wait for the vet appointment until Monday. It may be something benign, such as a sebaceous cyst. If the vet is at all worried about how it looks, they will recommend a biopsy. Hi. Unfortunately this looks like more then a cyst. This could be a cancerous tumor that has become irritated and ulcerated. Based on this photo , it appears it should be removed and biopsied. If it isn't a cancerous tumor and is largely a cyst of some kind, it would still be best to remove it because of how irritated it is. It will eventually bother Adel a lot as well

If it is fluid-filled it is probably a cyst. You cannot "cure" a cyst with any medications. To be rid of it completely it needs to be surgically removed. I suggest you have him examined by your vet since you stated he has been biting that area.

This looks like it could be a cyst or a skin tumor like a hemangioma. I find that once a skin growth ruptures it tends to happen again, so I would definitely recommend making an appointment to see your veterinarian. They will probably recommend surgically removing this growth.

The vet can confirm if it is a cyst, if there is an infection, and can prescribe antibiotics.
