An e-collar (cone) will go a long way in aiding in healing. Keep it on until the wound is completely healed. Limit activity to just leash walks for elimination. Avoid excessive running jumping or rough play. The most important thing to try to make these go away will be preventing her from getting at them and you can easily do that by having her wear an e-collar which you may obtain from your local pet store or online. Ouch, poor June! It's not a very big wound, so it doesn't appear it needs stitches to close. You can try this wound care on her, and keep an eye on it. Should it become red, swollen, warm to the touch, or there's pus, it's infected and she will need to see the vet. You may have to put an Ecollar on her to keep her from licking at it, and I will put a link below on how to make one at home. If he is a little dog- do you have a disposable plastic bowl that you could cut the back out of to make a makeshift E-collar ? If he's large a plastic trash can can work. It should be long enough that his nose doesn't push past or it won't prevent him from licking. Also warm compressignthe area may make him more comfortable until you can be seen for antibiotics and pain management. Poor Akeilles, I hope he improves soon!

If they are play fighting a lot, then you may have to keep them separated until the wound can heal. 1. Clip the hair away from the wound using buzzing-type clippers, not scissors or a razor. This is so you can monitor the wound and keep the hair out of the way to help with healing. 2. Disinfect the wound once with peroxide or a first aid chlorhexidine wound soap. Do not continue to use peroxide, or alcohol, as this will delay healing. 3. Apply an antibacterial ointment, such as Neosporin, twice daily. If needed to clean the wound, use a warm wet wash cloth to gently wipe away any dried fluid. 4. Prevent all licking or scratching of the wound by using an e-collar or dog booties or socks. 5. See a vet if your pet experiences prolonged lethargy, decreased appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, or a rectal temperature over 103, or if there is creamy discharge or discharge with a foul odor, or there is swelling around the wound.

This presentation could be due to a trauma or localized spot of skin infection (likely to be caused by bacteria). A check up, appropriate disinfection and possibly antibiotics (oral, topical or in a shampoo formulation) are needed to solve the problem. Disinfection may be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine or salted water baths. Buster collar may be useful as well to avoid any licking.

The first thing you need to do is get an e-collar for Buster so he cannot pick on the cuts. You can put some neosporine on the cuts once a day and the should be healing soon. If these cuts do not heal within a week they will need to be seen by a veterinarian.
