Why is my dog's poop green? What should I do about green stool?

  Eating grass should not produce a green stool. If your dog is having abnormally colored stool and there is no recent diet change then there is something abnormal going on. If this is the case I would recommend taking your dog (and a sample of his stool) to the veterinarian to be examined.

  There are a couple of things that could be causing Domino to have green feces. Depending on what your siblings are feeding him, that could be causing the green color of his feces. I imagine Domino must go outside to go potty, and he could be eating grass when he's outside going to the bathroom. The color could also be caused by an intestinal disorder or GI parasites. You can have him seen by a vet, and bring along as sample of his feces for the vet to examine. The vet can determine what is causing the green color of his feces and what treatment may be needed.

  If it was a one-time thing I wouldn't be too concerned as dogs can be sneaky about what they get into, and eating some things such as something high in iron or green in color can cause a temporary stool color change.
  
  However, if the green stools continue or you're seeing other signs of illness such as diarrhea, changes in appetite, tender belly, vomiting, lethargy, etc, I would bring Ollie and a sample to be examined by a vet to rule out issues such as parasites, illness, etc as well as look into issues such as malabsoption.
