My dog left green mucus on the floor. Is this a serious problem?

That is odd and unfortunately, it's a little hard to know what that is. It looks like there are flecks of more solid material in there which makes me lean toward vomit or a discharge from her vulva. Green coloration is always worrisome because it can signify significant infection or rat bait poisoning (which is green/blue or a combination). I do recommend to have her examined today to be safe. Show the vet your photo. Check the house and yard for any rat/mouse bait. Look for anything she could have gotten into that could be this color. Syptoms will not show up for a few days. Hello sorry to hear about Molly. I would be concerned with fluid in her uterus. This fluid could be infectious or non-infectious. That is this could be a pyometra or infection of her uterus. The best way to diagnose an infected uterus would be to sample some of the fluid in her uterus as well as obtain bloodwork and an abdominal ultrasound. Ideally, you should have this evaluated by your veterinarian immediately as a pyometra can be quite detrimental to health. Hope this helps and best wishes.

Holly is probably suffering from a uterine infection (pyometra). this is an emergency condition, you must take her to the vet urgently and she will need to have a surgery done to have her uterus removed ASAP.

Mucous could be a sign of a urinary tract infection if accompanied by frequent urination or blood in the urine. It can also be seen with vaginitis. A small amount of mucous can be normal for some dogs. If you're only seeing mucous and Zelda is not excessively licking her vulva you can probably monitor for a few days but if the mucous continues I'd recommend having your vet examine her.

Some discharge is normal but it is generally clearish or slightly opaque. Vaginal discharge can indicate an infection in the uterus. I recommend to have her examined today in case this discharge is related to a uterine infection. Uterine infections can lead to a life threatening septicemia so it's best to play it safe. It could be either discharge from urinary tract or from the rectum. Vaginal infection / inflammation or bladder infection can result in small amount of mucus in the urine. Stools with small amount of mucus is also not uncommon in dogs with mild gastroenteritis. As long as Tinkerbell is bright, alert, has good appetite and normal energy level, keep an eye on her at home.
