Should I worry about my 6-month-old puppy's vaginal discharge?

It could be either discharge from urinary tract or from the rectum. Vaginal infection / inflammation or bladder infection can result in small amount of mucus in the urine. Stools with small amount of mucus is also not uncommon in dogs with mild gastroenteritis. They tend to grow out of puppy vaginitis. Sometimes they need antibiotics if they are urinating small amounts frequently. I would set up an appointment with your Vet for an exam. I would try to collect a urine sample for the appointment. First wipe the vulva with a baby wipe or a slightly soapy towel (rinse) before collecting. I hope this helps!

This is not normal. Blood around the vulva can be a sign of a urinary tract infection or a uterine infection or hemorrhage. I recommend you make an appointment with your veterinarian for an exam so the cause for this can be established and treated.

It's not uncommon to see a little cloudy vaginal discharge from growing puppies. It's likely the hormonal influences in her body. It usually doesn't require medication, and typically resolves on its own with no treatment, however I have seen some prolonged cases that did need antibiotics. If she just saw the vet today I would recommend calling her back and discussing this change - she may want to recheck Moose, especially if the discharge persists for more than a day or two.

It sounds like Margo may have an infection in the uterus or lower genital tract. This is most common following a recent heat cycle. I would advise that she be examined by her veterinarian to confirm this. If she does have a uterine infection, your vet can advise you about the best treatment which may include oral antibiotics or having her spayed depending on the severity.

This appears normal to me. Puppies often get "puppy vaginitis" and it is usually not serious and considered normal.
