My dog fell, is limping and barely moving. Should I take her to vet?

I am so sorry to hear that your pet Lupa is in such dire need of medical care it seems. She is very ill and the fact that she isn't moving is very concerning. There isn't anything you can do unfortunately in the home to help her, she needs to be seen by a vet in your area right away. She could have just about anything going on internally to cause this including: severe anemia, heart disease, or even shock just to name a few. It is good that you immobilized the limb. Ideally, Chloe should be sen by your veterinarian today for a physical exam. Since she is limping, she is likely in some degree of discomfort. Your vet can dispense medication for relief. X-rays will be needed to definitively diagnose a fracture. Depending on the type of fracture and location, Chloe may need surgery or she could have a bandage or splint placed for 6-8 weeks. This will need to be checked every week or so and changed as needed. In the meantime, restrict her activity and monitor above and below the bandage for any swelling or irritation.

Poor girl! She does sound painful. Because she has been in pain for a couple of days and it sounds like she may have accidentally made things worse today, I think it would be better to get her into a vet now.

Poor pup! This sounds like a potentially serious problem, so I would recommend taking him to an emergency clinic today to be seen. He may have a neurologic problem of some kind, may have injured himself somehow, or may have ingested something toxic. The ER veterinarian can do a completely neurologic exam and may recommend blood work, x-rays, or other testing if needed to help figure out what's wrong. If you're not sure where to go, try calling your regular vet's office - their voicemail message should have contact information for your nearest ER or an on-call doctor for emergencies.

Since your pup can't talk, only a physical exam will be able to determine the source of the lameness. Just like people, the pain/limping can be related to many causes including a ligament tears, soft tissue injury, a knee cap out of place or even a hairline fracture. Since she is not bearing any weight on the leg, I recommend to have her examined today. She may need radiographs and the doctor will determine this based on the exam. She needs STRICT rest until she is examined. I hope she starts feeling better quickly.

If it just started you can let her rest for a few days with minimal walking and minimal physical exercise, if it does not improve within 3-4 days you will have to take her to the vet in order to get it checked and treated, she might need pain killers for a few days. if the vet think it's something more serious such as a fracture, joint injury or foreign body, he might recommend to have an xray done as well.

Poor Bum-Bucha! While home alone, he could have hurt himself jumping off a bed or couch. It does sound like to me he's very painful, so you have a few options here. In my opinion, the best option is to find a vet on call to see him ASAP or take him into an ER vet. You can rest him tonight, and then take him into the vet first thing in the morning. Or you can rest him for a few days, see if he improves, and then take him into the vet if he doesn't. It's up to you, but as I said, given that he suddenly became lame and doesn't want to move, I think it would be best he was seen by a vet now. At the very least, I would have him seen in the morning. Please do not give him any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given.
