My dog's face sore by mouth is bleeding cloudy pus. Is it infected?

It looks like there is an infection under the skin, it could be due to a bruise or some other type of injury. i would indeed recommend taking Oscar to the vet in order to get it treated, he will probably need a course of antibiotics.

This sore could just be from an injury. I would gently clean it with warm water and antiseptic soap. To keep him from scratching at it, you can put an Ecollar on him. You can get one at a pet store or make one at home. Keep the wound clean and dry, and monitor it for signs of infection. If you see redness, swelling, warmth to the touch, or pus, then it is infected and he will need to see the vet for antibiotics to treat it. If she does not have a history of a traumatic wound, she could have an infected tooth. This can create an abscess under the skin that can rupture open. Poor girl. Since this area is around her mouth, it is best to only use dog formulated products that are safe to be ingested. Any oral rinse containging Chlorhexidine solution from your local pet store can be used on Rosie until she can be seen.
