Hi, thanks for using PetCoach! Poor Daisy!

From your picture, it appears as though Daisy's eye lid is swollen in corner (by her nose). This can be from an infection or an allergic reaction. If she is squinting her eye, keeping it closed, rubbing it, the eye is producing green-yellow discharge I recommend she be seen today. If not make an appointment to have her seen Monday.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Buddy. He will need to see his veterinarian tomorrow morning or tonight if he is experiencing any difficulty breathing. He may be experiencing an allergic reaction. Did he come into contact with anything different today? Any new shampoo or topical products? Did he recieve any vaccines today? If he was outdoors, he could have sustained an insect bite or sting. There are other more rare skin diseases that can have a similar presentation though. His veterinarian will be able to decide the best course of treatment. In the meantime, do not let him paw at his face as this will make it worse. I hope this information helps!

It doesn't look like a bump, it looks more like red skin like she scraped it or something. The eyeball itself looks fine and the eye does not appear red or irritated which is good. I suggest you just monitor this throughout the weekend and if no improvement by early next week then get her to your vet for an exam. I don't think I'd be too worried at this stage. Hope this helps. Hello, thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. It very definitely can be an allergic reaction to a sting or bite. If it is not bothering him, then there is probably not too much to worry about, You can apply a cold compress to the area ( a bag of frozen peas wrapped in a towel works well ) for 5-10 minutes every hour or so, but if he begins whining, scratching his face, or pawing at his eyes, you may need to run him in to your vet for steroids, &/or antihistamines. Hopefully, it will start to go down soon. Take care.

My dog has a bump near her eye that's growing. Does she need a vet?

Without a picture or examining Laila it's difficult to say what is going on for sure. Dogs can get small tumors on their eyelids called meibomian gland tumors and normally these are benign. However, I'm a little concerned that it has gotten larger overnight. It could also be an area of infection or a more serious tumor type. If you can post a picture of Laila it may be helpful to give you further advice. If not, it would be best to err on the side of caution and have Laila examined by your veterinarian. My dog has a red, swollen, growing lump above her eye. What is it?

This boil could be a cyst on Daisy's face, and she will need to see a vet for it. If it is a cyst, it will need to be drained sterilely and it may need to be surgically removed to prevent it from reoccurring. Please do not try to drain it yourself as you will introduce infection into the area. I would have Daisy seen by a vet tomorrow if possible for this.

This could be due to an eye injury or conditions such as a corneal laceration, corneal ulcer, conjunctivitis, dry eye (also known as KCS), among many other conditions. My dog has a raw, worsening bump under his eye. What should I do?

There is no way of knowing for sure without an examination though this represents a reason to seek veterinary care. This is usually determined with an examination and a fine needle aspirate (FNA) or a biopsy. Treatment depends on the findings up to that point. I recommend you have Ozzie evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a good night!

What is this pink bump on my dog's eyelid? Should I be concerned?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I would continue to monitor it for now as this may just be an area of infection or inflammation. It could even be a growth though thankfully most of the eyelid growths in dogs are benign. I would continue to monitor it for now. If it goes away then great. However, if it does not go away and actually continues to grow, I recommend you have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to look into this further and see what seems more likely. Best of luck!
