My dog eats grass and throws up yellow foam. Is this normal?

It is not unusual for dogs to eat feces and this can make them throw up. Try to stop her from eating feces by going outside with her and immediately removing any waste. You can also feed her a product such as Forbid which can make some pets stop the behavior. Vomiting has many causes. I am sorry Dozer threw up last night. Grass can definitely upset his stomach. I would make sure he doesn't eat anymore of it. As long as he is energetic and otherwise normal I wouldn't worry too much about a one time throw up. If this continues then I would recommend bringing him to a veterinarian. Vomiting can be observed with conditions such as gastroenteritis, pancreatitis, dietary indiscretion, gastrointestinal foreign body ingestion and obstruction, among other possibilities. For this reason, I highly recommend that you have Diesel evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment as soon as possible as I am afraid he is likely becoming dehydrated. They would be able to check for these possibilities and also check his hydration status and give him medications to make him feel better. Good luck!

The can eat grass because their stomach hurts or vomit from eating grass just because they like grass. This can be an allergy since she is itching also or they may be unrelated. i would have vet check her since she is vomiting and limit the grass she eats. You can try plan chicken and rice as this is bland to make sure she digest it well.

It could be that she is suffering from something like acid reflux causing her to vomit in the morning occasionally. She may also be feeling unwell leading her to moan and whine. Her nose being warm isn't necessarily a sign of illness. I'd have her seen by a vet for this occasional vomiting. There could be several reasons for vomiting just in the morning, common causes would include dietary intolerance (unlikely if Falkor has been on Nutro for a while), dietary indiscretion (eating something he shouldn't), food allergy, intestinal parasites, bilious vomiting syndrome, among a few less common things. He definitely needs a thorough examination with a vet, and if he starts having diarrhea or becomes lethargic, you should see if the vet can fit you in sooner than Friday. In the meantime, you can see if changing up his food routines slightly to help with possible bilious vomiting syndrome. Feed Falkor a small meal right before bedtime, and give him breakfast first thing when he wakes up. We are trying to limit the amount of time he has an empty stomach at night. After examination and routine testing (like intestinal parasite screening, bloodwork, or xx-rays) to rule out other causes of vomiting, your vet may prescribe an antacid, medications to coat an upset stomach, or medications to help move things out of the stomach quicker in an attempt to manage the vomiting. There could be many things that are causing this in Loki. Less likely a foreign body especially since he bounces back right after vomiting. It can be viral related or just a gastrointestinal upset. We always are concerned about Parvo in an unvaccinated puppy since he is only 9 weeks but this is less likely if he is energetic and has no diarrhea. He can always have intestinal parasites especially in a young puppy. I would recommend a stool check, deworming, a bland diet and an antacid as long as everything else is ok.
