Why is my dog throwing up yellow foam every morning but still active?

Abbey may be eating dinner too early and getting hungry before going to sleep for the night. I recommend trying to feed her dinner a little later than normal. The signs you are describing can be unrelated to hunger, especially if Abbey does not eat meals. Vomiting can be caused by intestinal inflammation, hormonal conditions such as Addison’s disease or low thyroid levels. I recommend changing Abbey’s mealtime (if she is fed meals) for a day or two to see if this helps resolve the issue. If not, she should be seen by her vet to rule out the conditions above.

I'm sorry to hear Nana isn't feeling well. I would determine if she is vomiting the white foam, or if it is produced after a strong coughing fit. If it is after coughing it can be due to an upper respiratory infection such as kennel cough. If it is secondary to vomiting, then it could be due to a GI upset of some kind. I would recommend she be seen by her regular veterinarian to determine the underlying cause for her issue, have any necessary testing done (X-rays, bloodwork) and get started on any treatment she may need (antibiotics, cough suppressant) to help resolve the issue. Hi and thank you for your question on PetCoach! If this is the first time in a while that Bonnie has thrown up, I wouldn't worry too much about this one time incident. It could be she ate too fast or didn't chew her food properly as the kibble and egg (?) appears to be intact still. The white foam is just saliva and mucous from the mouth and stomach lining. It is nothing too concerning. If she continues to regurgitate her food or vomit, I would see a veterinarian soon to ensure there is not something more concerning that is causing the frequent vomiting. Keep a an eye of her for the next day or so. It sounds possible that Magi may have acid reflux disease. I would inquire with your vet about trying a short course of antacids on her. If that has already been tried, then I would suggest doing some bloodwork to check for any organ issues. And if that again is normal, then a food trial should be done to treat for suspected inflammatory bowel disease. Some good food options here are going to be easily digestible foods such as Royal Canin hypoallergenic HP, Hill's Selected protein PR, or Hill's Z/D Ultra. It is not unusual for dogs to eat feces and this can make them throw up. Try to stop her from eating feces by going outside with her and immediately removing any waste. You can also feed her a product such as Forbid which can make some pets stop the behavior. Vomiting has many causes.
