My dog wants my salad. Can dogs safely eat tomatoes and lettuce?

Tomatoes are fine to feed dogs, but the tomatoes have to be ripe. Never feed a green tomato, as they have higher amounts of tomatine, which is harmful to dogs in large amounts. Lettuce is fine as well, but make sure there is no onion on it. Onion is toxic to dogs. I have linked websites that includes foods dogs can never eat:
