The redness, swelling and blisters indicate inflammation and is likely painful. Coconut oil has many great properties but it will not clear a bacterial or yeast ear infection both of which are commonly found in ear infections. If you are using a home remedy for an ear cleaner that can sometimes cause more irritation with in the ear canal. I recommend that you take your dog to the Vet so they can look at the discharge under the microscope and confirm what type of ear infection he has. Then they will prescribe an appropriate ear wash and drops that will get rid of the infection. Good luck!

I highly recommend a vet visit and a cytology of the yellow discharge so the appropriate medicated drop can be used. Epiotic is a good ear cleaner but there are even more specific ones geared towards the type of infection she has. If you want to try cleaning first the I suggest every other day. Unfortunately without being see by a veterinarian there's not much you can do for an ear infection at home. It would be best to schedule an appointment for Diamond to see your veterinarian. Your veterinarian can make sure Diamonds ear drum is not damaged and take a swab from the ears to determine what type of infection is present and what medication should be used.
