My dog has yellow gooey stuff in his ear and it hurts. What is it?

Hi my name Is Consuelo. I’ve had my dog for a couple of months now and he developed something in one of his ears that look Like yellow gooey stuff. I always thought it was to much ear wax but then his ear started hurting. And since he was a gift from my grandma I don’t really know what’s wrong or much about my dog Oreo. Would do you think he has?

By your description, he may have an ear infection. He will need to be examined by your veterinarian for confirmation. A swab of the ear can be examined in the clinic to diagnose infection (bacterial or fungal). The appropriate medication and ear cleaner can be dispensed afterwards.

It sounds like your dog has an ear infection. Unfortunately you won't be able to treat this without prescription medication. You will have to take him to the vet to have the ears examined, then they can provide appropriate drops.
