My puppy's ear lump won't heal and he keeps scratching. What is it?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | unneutered | 7 months and 28 days old | 40 lbs

My puppy has had this on his ear for a few weeks now I clean with peroxide and put antibiotic ointment on but he keeps scratching and It won't heal does it need to be drained

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It looks like a benign growth called a histiocytoma. These usually go away on their own after 3-4 months. I would recommend having a vet look at it and confirm. If it is, leave the swelling alone. It doesn’t need to be cleaned or have medication applied to heal it. Good luck and kisses to Boy Boy!
