My dog gets ear infections. What are these pink marks in his ears?

These marks are very superficial and don't look particularly red or infected. They could just be from the other dog nipping at the ear and causing a bit of hair loss. If they grown in size I would go into the vet for a skin test in case there is an infection or parasite causing the hair loss, but you could monitor for now.

He probably does have an ear infection inside the ear canal. The scratching of the ears is causing the red lines/lesions/sores on the ear. I cannot tell you how serious it is without looking into the ear with an otoscope but I do think he will be fine to wait for his appointment on Friday.

I am sorry to hear about your concern for your pup. This looks like papules or a miliary dermatitis. We could see these from a variety of causes ranging from parasites of the skin such as mites, to allergies, to bacterial infection. If the spots aren't going away on their own in a day or two I would recommend an exam at his vet to help determine the cause of the lesions which will guide the treatment.

This could be from an allergy , irritation or an ear infection. If this does not resolve on its own Within 48 to 72 hours then I would recommend having a veterinarian examine her so that the most appropriate Diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. It is difficult to tell from the picture but it could just be some discharge from his ear. You could try to clean his ear with an dog ear cleaner and see if it helps. Otherwise, have him examined by a vet to determine if he has an ear infection. Your vet can do a cytology and look at the discharge under a microscope to determine the type of infection and then prescribe medications to treat.

The build up you see can be discharge of bacteria and/or yeast. He is tilting his head because it is painful. Before purchasing a rinse, I would recommend taking him to the vet to determine what is going on inside the ear. If he has a ruptured ear drum some rinses can be contraindicated.
