My dog's ear has a green, infected bump. Can I treat it at home?

It may be infected as a scab has formed and trapped the bacteria. I would gently soak the area and clean it with soap and water. Then place neosporin on it. I would also make an appointment with my vet to to have it checked to see if oral antibiotics are needes

Poor guy. This lump appears to be a huge mass and possible polyp. You will need to get this tested by your vet and seriously consider surgical removal of the mass. If left there this mass has a good chance of causing chronic ear infection, pain, and also can continue to grow. It is best to get this removed, so please consult with your veterinarian to devise a good plan for Little Bit in the near future. I hope that LIttle bit's ear mass gets resolved soon. Monitor for redness, discharge, active bleeding or odor. A minor wound may heal on its own. Keep the area clean and dry. Use an e-collar (cone) to prevent scratching or rubbing if necessary. If it doesn't appear to be healing, see your veterinarian for an exam.

That does look to be a mass. A mass is a collection of cells and can be benign (inflammation, cyst, some tumors) or a malignant tumor. Given the age of your dog this may be a histiocytoma, but as many skin tumors can look alike the best plan to confirm this is for your vet to perform a needle aspirate for cytology. I would recommend having Lily evaluated by the vet if this mass is getting bigger. any abnormal growth that is changing in size and shape should be assessed to make sure that it is not malignant. Hello. Because of this lesions' change in size & color, I would recommend just having it removed. It looks like a melanoma, but would need histopathology to definitively diagnose it. It is small so removal should be pretty easy. This would be a good time to have your veterinarian take a good look deep into Moka's ears. I wouldn't keep applying aloe vera to this bump on Vixi's ear, it won't make it any better. This bump could be a cyst or a benign tumor, and if it keeps getting bigger, I would have her seen by a vet sooner than two weeks to have it examined and diagnosed. If it is a cyst, it will need to be drained sterilely, and it may need to be removed surgically to keep it from recurring.
