My dog has diarrhea, ate poop, and is throwing up. Will he be okay?

  He might have eaten something spoiled that is causing this. withhold food for 12 hours then offer Rocky boiled boneless chicken and rice every 6 hours in small portions. if he is eating and not vomiting, continue with this diet for 2 days. After 2 days, you can put him back gradually on his normal food.
  
  If he continues vomiting or is not eating, take him to the vet to get treatment.

  Hello and thank you for reaching out to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I'm sorry to hear that Casper has been vomiting. Vomiting and diarrhea can be caused by a number of things, such as dietary indiscretion, foreign body ingestion, toxin ingestion, infection, inflammation, pancreatitis, liver or kidney disease, even cancer. In Casper's case, since he has been able to eat and keep down multiple meals today, I am considering dietary indiscretion as my top differential. It sounds like he may have gotten into something that upset his gastrointestinal tract, causing vomiting and diarrhea. He may not have defecated today because he recently had diarrhea, and I wouldn't be concerned if he doesn't pass any stool today. If he continues to eat, drink water and act playful, and he is otherwise healthy, I would recommend continued monitoring at home. I would continue to feed him a bland diet (boiled chicken and rice) until he is passing normal stools. If he ever becomes acutely lethargic, vomits repeatedly or continues to have diarrhea, I would have him evaluated by a veterinarian. They may want to perform bloodwork and/or take x-rays of his abdomen. I hope this is helpful!

  Poor Jax. It sounds like he could have an upset stomach. I can give you a home remedy for him to see if that helps. Withhold food tonight, then in the morning feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, he refuses to eat the bland diet, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea again, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away.   Poor Goldie! He may have eaten something at the dog park causing his symptoms. I can give you a home remedy for him to see if that helps. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, he refuses to eat the bland diet, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away.
