My dog has diarrhea and a pink bump near his bottom. Is it hemorrhoids?

Dogs do not get hemorrhoids. This could be a skin infection or an anal gland infection. Unfortunately there is also a possibility that your dog may have a beginning tumor at this site. The earlier such conditions are treated the more likely they can be cured. You will need to schedule an appointment with your vet to have this examined. At best it is just a harmless skin change, but there is no way to determine that from a photograph.

It is hard to tell for sure by the pictures, but my suspicion would be that it is either a perianal tumor that has bled, or potentially a ruptured anal sac abscess. I would highly encourage you to have her evaluated by your veterinarian as soon as possible. If it is an abscess then antibiotics will likely be needed. If it is a tumor then the veterinarian can discuss options with you. Often perianal tumors are benign. From what I can see from the photo I think this looks more like inflammation or infection. Sometimes when dogs have diarrhoea they rub their bums which can lead to raw skin which in turn can become infected. Another possibility is an anal gland infection, these can burst out suddenly. There is always a possibility that it could be a tumour but it doesn't look like the typical tumours you get around the anus. With appropriate treatment an infection should heal within one to two weeks, whereas tumours would require more investigation/invasive treatment. I would chat to your bet about getting some meds for your dog if they haven't been prescribed already. Running bloods would also be prudent and may give further clues to the cause.

It's a little difficult to tell from your picture alone - being able to examine and touch a lump in person makes it much easier to determine what it is. This could be a skin tumor, a small abscess or inflammatory nodule, or a lesion from something like contact hypersensitivity. I would recommend having this lump examined by your veterinarian since it looks red and possibly like there is discharge. If he is licking or chewing at the lump you should put an e-collar on him until you can see a veterinarian. They may know what it is after being able to examine it or may recommend taking an aspirate sample using a small needle to look for cells under the microscope.

This lump/growth should be ideally examined by your veterinarian to have a definitive diagnosis. Your vet will examine it and possibly perform with an FNA (fine needle aspiration) or a biopsy. Differentials would include skin cyst, inflammatory polyp, infections or benign or malignant type of tumors (extremely unlikely given the age). Rather than hemorrhoid cream, I suggest some triple antibiotic ointment to help it heal. You may have nicked him with the scissors, which is really easy to do, even when you're being very careful. You can use something like the Tucks pads for hemorrhoids to clean it, then apply the antibiotic twice a day. If it doesn't improve significantly in the next day or two, I suggest getting him in to see your vet as he may need additional medication or treatment. If you get him groomed, make sure to ask them to do a sanitary clip, which will trim the hair very short around his anus to help prevent this from happening again in the future Your vet may also offer a similar service in between grooming appointments. If you want to do it at home, get a pair of clippers and use a guard to keep from cutting him.

This could be a severely abscessed anal gland/sac or a tumor or a perineal hernia. This can only be diagnosed with a hands-on exam. You should have it examined by your veterinarian, as it is not possible to distinguish these by just looking at a photo. An abscess can usually be treated with antibiotics and/or be lanced, and a hernia may have to be fixed surgically. To identify a tumor, your vet may want to do a fine needle aspirate (he takes some material from the bump with a needle and then looks at it under the microscope) to determine whether the mass is concerning.
