My dog had foreign body surgery. Is diarrhea normal 2 weeks later?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Doberman Pinscher | Female | spayed | 1 year and 1 month old | 52 lbs

My dog had foreign body removal 2 weeks ago today. She also has Von Willebrands. She's been fine, after having a low PCV for several days. Last check was 40. She had some diarrhea today. Should I be concerned?

She should be completely healed from the surgery if it was 2 weeks ago, so I would not be concerned about continued bleeding from surgery. If she has bloody diarrhea, this would be cause for concern, or if she is droopy, lethargic, not eating, or not acting her normal self, then I'd be concerned.
