My puppy has a cough, sneeze, and runny nose after travel. Allergies?

Hi there. Sneezing could be caused by allergies, or an upper respiratory infection. If he's acting fairly normal otherwise (eating and drinking fine, active, etc.) you could opt to monitor him for now and see how things go for the next few days. The problem may resolve on its own, similar to when we get a minor cold or allergy flare-up. If there is no improvement in the next 2-3 days, or if your pup develops other symptoms such as coughing, thick green or yellow nasal discharge, or begins acting very lethargic or not eating, then I would recommend having him seen by a veterinarian for treatment.

The most likely causes are an infection or allergies. An object stuck in the nose is possible but typically tends to be one sided and will start to have greenish discharge. Allergies are a possibility along with the start of a respiratory infection. You can give Benadryl to dogs and at his weight it would be closer to a whole 25 mg tablet instead of a 1/4. I would say get him checked if the symptoms continue or you notice them progress

It sounds like she may have a mild allergy or a upper respiratory infection. With her being so small I would contact your vet for an exam and possible antibiotics. They will also be able to direct you with a appropriate anti-histamine for her size. If she hasn't already, she may also need her first set of shots since she is now 8 weeks old. Your vet will be able to also guide you in a proper booster schedule. It isn't uncommon for some puppies to have an increase in breathing while sleeping or to even twitch during sleep. They dream just like us! But I would have your vet listen to her heart and lungs to ensure everything sounds normally as well! I hope this helps!
