Can I give my dog chicken broth with black pepper? Is it safe?

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | unspayed | 4 months and 5 days old | 30 lbs

I want to add chicken stock to my dog food but it contains black pepper, will it effect my dog health ? can a dog eat black pepper ? Thanks, Regards.

A small amount of pepper in chicken stock is not a cause for concern. Low sodium chicken broths can be used in small amounts, but assure that the stock or broth has the lowest sodium amount possible and does not contain garlic or onions, as both are toxic to dogs.
