Why is my dog suddenly bumping into walls and struggling to breathe?

You need to get Bella to a vet as soon as possible. I do not know why she is showing these symptoms as they are not specific for any one illness or disease process. This sounds very serious. If you want to give her the best chance of recovery/survival you need to get her to a vet right away. Best wishes.

Hello. I am sorry that Bella is unwell. This sounds serious enough that I would really encourage you to have her examined as soon as possible. Coughing & heavy breathing can be a sign of infection from bacterial or fungal sources ( pneumonia ), inflammation from chronic bronchitis, heartworm disease, or cancer. I hope you can have her seen soon so the appropriate treatment can be started. The longer you wait, the more potential for permanent lung damage to occur. If Bells appears to be in any sort of respiratory distress, I must recommend that you get her to an ER right away to be stabilized. If she is simply panting due to some sort of stress or discomfort, this is not necessarily required. Regardless, it sounds like she is definitely experiencing some pretty severe discomfort. I'm not sure what they did for her at the clinic earlier, but it doesn't seem to have addressed whatever it is that is currently bothering her. If these sort of symptoms continue into the afternoon today, I would recommend getting her into a clinic for a follow up exam and diagnostics to assess the problem. If they believe she is in pain somewhere, perhaps imaging would be next best things in terms of diagnostics. Hope this makes sense.

I would recommend that you have Bella examined by a vet as soon as possible. Open mouth breathing in a dog that is in a cool, comfortable environment can be caused by heart disease, lung disease, anemia, severe pain, among a few others. Rapid heart rate can also be caused by these things. When you get to the vet, they will do a physical exam and may recommend x-rays to make a diagnosis.

This could be a normal respiratory rate for Bella, but I’m concerned that she seems to have labored breathing. I would recommend having her examined by an emergency vet as soon as possible - respiratory disease in cats can quickly get worse and a prompt exam and treatment is important.

I am worried that Bella may have pneumonia - which is fluid or infection of her lungs and has the symptoms you describe of open mouth labored breathing - running nose and less active/ crying. If she is not feeding as usual, you should take her to the emergency vet nearest to your home very quickly. They will probably recommend giving her oxygen, antibiotics and they will xray her chest to see how severe the problem is. Best of luck with Bella, I hope she does ok.
