What's this bump under my dog's ear causing one-sided drooling?

You mentioned that the salivary glands are enlarged so this could something like salivary mucoceles though they are usully just unilateral so being both would be unusual. The other thing is making sure that it is not the mandibular lymph nodes that are enlarged in which case it may be something completely different. I think ideally a CT scan of that region is performed though if unable to you could consider an ultrasound lf the neck. Even before that, it would be helpful to sample that affected area via fine needle aspiration as this would help to rule in or out a salivary mucocele and help determine what this enlargement/swelling is. The red eyes could also represent uveitis so a close examination would be recommended. Good luck!

This is often differentiated by a test called a fine needle aspirate (FNA) which is a pain free, inexpensive and easy procedure which in most cases will help reach a diagnosis. That does look to be a mass. A mass is a collection of cells and can be benign (inflammation, cyst, some tumors) or a malignant tumor. Given the age of your dog this may be a histiocytoma, but as many skin tumors can look alike the best plan to confirm this is for your vet to perform a needle aspirate for cytology. Without a picture and not being able to feel it, it is difficult to say for sure what this could be. I would suspect that this could be a lymph node based on your description.
