My Shih Tzu has bloody urine & bladder stones history. Is it back?

Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Female | spayed | 12 years and 6 months old | 17 lbs

My shih tzu has some blood in her urine and has had bladder stones before. She seems to be showing all the signs but last time there was no blood

Poor Abby! Bloody urine is a very common sign of bladder stones, so I would definitely be concerned that this may be the problem again. I would recommend taking her to the vet tomorrow morning for an exam and x-rays - this should help to determine whether or not she has stones again, so that she can get started on appropriate treatment.

    Oh no. Poor guy may have a urinary obstruction caused by stones. If he is straining to urinate it is imperative that you get him seen by a vet immediately! This can be life threatening if he retains urine for longer than 12-24 hrs as toxins will build up in his body, so please take him in for medical care.
