This indeed sounds like there may be an obstruction now especially since she has not been able to pass any of the nail files with the diarrhea, There is a possibility that the files are just partially obstructing the bowel which is why she is not vomiting. I would have phivo evaluated by a veterinarian. Vomiting and diarrhea with blood can be caused by viruses such as parvovirus (if he isn't vaccinated fully) or can be caused by irritation in the stomach and bowel from eating things he shouldn't or by certain foods that don't agree with him. A veterinarian will be able to make sure phivo is hydrated, give him medication for vomiting and diarrhea, and do tests such as fecal exam or x-rays to sort out what is going on. If you absolutely cannot get him in right away, I would fast him for 12 hours then feed a bland diet exclusively (boiled skinless chicken breast and white rice). Yes. I would definitely take him to an emergency clinic immediately. Hemorrhagic gastroenteritis can come on very quickly and dogs can become very sick in a few hours.
