Why does my dog need a 10-day quarantine after biting someone?

The only reasonable reason a dog would be placed in quarantine in most countries is if he has bitten a human and he isn't vaccinated for rabies. in some countries, such as New Zealand for example, a month long quarantine is usually mandatory for every dog entering the country from somewhere else.

The problem here is that there is a suspicion that your dog could have rabies since she did not have her vaccines in time and bit the vet, This is why she is in quarantine. If the vaccine was not properly administered by a licensed veterinarian, the Bella might be able to be quarantined as required by your local municipality.
