My puppy ate a dead cockroach. Will he be okay if it had insecticide?

In general, most over the counter pesticides when dry, will not harm pets. The most common signs seen will be some transient vomiting, possible drooling, and possibly diarrhea when ingested in small amounts. Obviously there are many different kinds of pesticides available and the signs associated with them can vary greatly. The label on the original container for the pesticide should have a phone number to contact incase of concerns and more specific guidance may be found there. Ingestion of dead spiders is not likely to lead to any significant illness. As your dog is reportedly fine, it is unlikely you will see any problems at this time. Of course, if you notice your dog acting ill, please seek veterinary attention.

The good news is that this is not highly toxic. Bear eating 1/2 a tsp of the roach gel will not be enough to cause him any problems, so you do not need to do anything expect to make sure that he doesn't get into any more! I hope this helps!

She will likely be just fine. A small amount of raid left on a roach isn't going to cause any serious issues for your pet. At the very least she may have an upset stomach. In which case you can feed her a bland diet of boiled plain chicken and rice or cottage cheese for a few days, and then slowly transition her back to her normal diet. If she doesn't seem to be recovering from the stomach upset as expected after 12-24 hrs, then its best to just haver her checked by your vet and given some supportive treatment to help her stomach settle quicker. Fortunately this poison is not very poisonous for dogs but if he licked it he could suffer from vomiting, lack of appetite or diarrhea for a few days. if the symptoms are quite severe you will have to take him to the vet in order to get it treated.

Being that the packaging states the active ingredient as boric acid he will likely be fine. It doesn't sound like he ingested enough to be toxic however, he could have some gastrointestinal upset for the next few days. I suggest you feed him some bland food for 2-3 days. That being said, we always suggest a vet examine your pet if they have ingested any type of poison. It is difficult for us to say much over the internet without having examined the pet. Thanks for providing your dog's weight and the active ingredient in the roach trap in your question - it's very helpful for us! :) The good news is, this is not likely to cause any serious problems at all for Amber. Chlorpyrifos is a common ingredient in roach and ant traps. An average trap like this contains about 2 grams of 0.5% chlorpyrifos bait, or about 10 mg chlorpyrifos total. In a 70 pound dog, this works out to a total dose of about 0.3 mg/kg. Doses of up to 3 mg/kg (which is 10 times as much as Amber ingested) have been shown in studies to cause no significant issues. It's possible that she might have some minor stomach upset, but otherwise I would expect her to be just fine.
