My dog ate spicy Cheez-Its and salty Goldfish. Will she be okay?

At worst, you may see some stomach upset (vomiting, diarrhea). If so, withhold food for 24 hours. Allow small amounts of water or unflavored PediaLyte. Resume feeding a bland diet in small, frequent amounts. Begin with 1 tablespoon of food every hour and gradually increase the amount if there is no vomiting. Feed bland until symptoms resolve then transition slowly to the regular diet. Symptoms that should be addressed by your vet include persistent vomiting or diarrhea, lethargy, loss of appetite or abdominal pain.

This is not a toxic food (even if she ate a lot), so I wouldn't be too worried. If she is otherwise acting normal, then it's likely that this just upset her stomach. Usually they vomit once or twice, then get over it. It's best not to feed her until morning while her stomach settles. If she starts vomiting multiple times (three or more) and is acting lethargic or abnormal, then I would be more concerned and recommend a visit to the vet. At most I would expect to see a bit of diarrhea or softer stools for about 24 hours afterwards. You can try offering a bland diet of boiled chicken and rice during this time, to help minimize any stomach upset caused from eating the rich foods. If Daisy starts vomiting or has diarrhea that worsens over 24 hours, I would suggest taking her to a vet, as occasionally eating very rich foods can cause pancreatitis which is more serious and requires additional medications and care. Maxi can get pancreatitis from this or diarrhea and vomiting. I would recommend giving her a bland diet (boiled chicken and white rice) just to calm everything down and then monitor her. If she starts vomiting, diarrhea, not eating, becomes lethargic then I recommend bringing her to a veterinarian. Hello, and thank you for your question! It sounds like Sebra is a big dog, so the most I would expect is some short-lived vomiting and diarrhea. I would suggest not feeding her for about 8 hours after she ate the treats, then start feeding her small, frequent meals of a bland diet such as boiled chicken and plain white rice. This is an easy to digest meal that will help clear her digestive tract. If she has persistent vomiting or diarrhea for 12 hours, then she will need to visit the vet, in the off chance that the treats have caused an obstruction in her intestines. I would not be overly concerned if she vomited most of it up quickly, indeed the salt is more likely to be a concern than the fish. Ensure she has fresh water available but do not allow her to over drink. Mild stomach upsets should settle within 24hoyrs but if persisting or she shows any signs of weakness she should be assessed by your vet
