My dog ate salty peanuts. When should I worry about salt toxicity?

No she/he should be fine if it was just salt. It takes a lot of salt ingestion to cause any immediate concerns in pets (salt intoxication). So if it was only a small amount you don't have anything to worry about. Just make sure to offer her/him some water and access to water at all times, so if she/he needs to they can rebalance their body by diluting out the salt. Also I would refrain from giving him/her any people foods that are high in salt for the next 24 hrs, only regular dog food. If by chance your pet did ingest a large amount of salt then watch out for signs of trouble which include ataxia (drunken walk), panting, mental dullness, and vomiting. If seen then it is best to take him/her to your vet immediately for treatment.

None of those nuts are specifically toxic, though the high fat content could cause some vomiting, diarrhea, or pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas that can cause a lot of pain and vomiting). If she starts vomiting and vomits more than twice in a 12 hour period, if she starts acting painful or lethargic, or she’s having watery diarrhea, take her in to your vet. It depends on the size of the dog and the amount she ate, but chances are good that, unless she ate several pounds of M&Ms, she will likely only end up with a sore belly and possibly diarrhea. If she ate them less than 1 hour ago, you can induce vomiting by giving an oral dose of hydrogen peroxide, about 1 cc per pound. One tablespoon is about 5 cc. A turkey baster will work if you don't have a syringe. Longer than an hour and it will have already moved into the intestines. Ideally, your pet should be seen by your veterinarian to ensure that she will be okay. Your vet will do an exam and possibly bloodwork to determine if any further treatment is needed.

The worst I might expect would be a bit of diarrhea, since Goldie is not used to eating this food. If you do notice some soft stool, you can try feeding small, frequent meals of a bland diet such as boiled chicken and rice for a day or two until her stools returns back to normal.
