My dog ate a rag, but seems fine. Should I be worried about her?

If Zoe did not eat a lot, this likely will pass without problem. There is a chance it could cause an obstruction or GI upset, so monitor her for signs such as vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, or anorexia. If you see any of those signs, have her seen by a vet. Best of luck.

Hello. If Hannah vomits up the rag and you are sure the whole rag is out, you can try feeding her and seeing if she is bright, happy, eating and pooping well. If she continues to vomit then likely some rag is stuck and she will need surgery to remove it. Otherwise, if she is eating/pooping well, then just monitor her for the next few days, at which point it should be out of her system. Good luck with Hannah.

If she has swallowed a piece of flat material (not the actual knot) I would not be immediately concerned (that is unless she was exhibiting distressed breathing indicating it was still in her throat). Fabric will often pass uneventfully and the addition of mild laxatives for a few days can help encourage this. The worst case scenario would be it could cause a linear foreign body, signs of which include a decreased appetite, anorexia, vomiting, diarrhea, and lethargy.
