My dog ate his Powerflex bandage. Should I be worried about him?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Male | neutered | 2 years and 8 months old

I wrapped my dogs foot in powerflex bandage and when I came home he had taken it off but I can't find it anywhere. Should I be worried if he ate it?

I'd agree that this is definitely a concern. Many dogs eat bandages. Typically the material passes through normally but do monitor him closely for any GI distress - vomiting, reluctance to eat, diarrhea - that might indicate it's having trouble passing.
